I hope to see you all at the Fall Feast this Thursday from 3-5 pm. The kids have been working hard on their songs for the event and they sound great! I'm sure you'll enjoy the show and the time spent with our wonderful Creekside community. This is probably my favorite event of the school year! :)
We have no school next week as we observe Thanksgiving, however Monday and Tuesday are considered IS days by our auditor. Therefore, we do have to send home a bit of IS for those two days. The Thanksgiving/Fall Break IS will be sent home later this week. I will try to make it short and sweet and purposeful.
Food Drive
Creekside Charter is putting on a food drive for Project Mana this month. Project Mana's mission is to reduce the incidence of hunger and its detrimental effects upon individuals, families, the community and the region. We did a great job at raising over 300 pounds of food last year for families in need in our community! We are asking that the students bring in healthy, non-perishable food items in unbreakable containers (no glass please) over the next two weeks.

Writing Assignment
Pretend you wake up one morning and you and your best friend have switched bodies. What happens next? Please write at 6 or more sentences and use your best handwriting on lined paper. Thank you.
iReady Practice
Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you!
In closing, please remember that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Just a refresher on our illness policy: If your child is sick, he or she must be fever free and free of vomiting for 24 hours before they may return to school. Thanks!
Have a great week!
Jenny
