Hello Creekside Families,
Creekside will be celebrating Dr. Seuss all week once we return from break! Your child is welcome to join in the fun if they would like to do so. The schedule is below: Monday 2/27: The Cat in the Hat kicks off our week of reading celebration. Come to school in a hat! Teachers will read their favorite children's book to their classes. Tuesday 2/28: It is Fox in Socks Day! Dr. Seuss' book, Fox in Socks, is our inspiration for this day. Come to school in mismatched socks, funny socks, holiday socks, or the most interesting socks you can find. Wednesday 3/1: It is Wacky Wednesday! Going along with Dr. Seuss' book, Wacky Wednesday, students are invited to dress wacky or wear their pajamas to school. Be sure the outfit is school appropriate and able to be worn outside. Students are encouraged to write their own stories. Teachers will select a few stories to read throughout the day. Thursday 3/2: Today is Dr Seuss' birthday. Students are welcome to dress as their favorite literary character. The entire school will "STOP, DROP AND READ" during the day. I hope you all have a wonderful break! Our first day back at school will be Monday, February 27th. Thanks! Jenny ps- The 2nd grade class did a wonderful job observing Random Acts of Kindness week! They performed over 400 acts of kindness in the classroom and on campus this week. I am so proud of them! :) Hello Creekside Families,
We have a busy and fun week ahead of us! Our class Valentine's Day party will be tomorrow from 11:45-12:15, this is before lunch so that the kids leaving for ski team in the afternoon won't miss out. Your child is welcome to bring a healthy snack to share and Valentine's cards if they are so inclined. If they chose to bring a card, please remember that candy is not allowed at school and that they should bring a card for each classmate so that no one is left out. I will include a class list below. On Wednesday, we will have a visit from the Bear League and meet Maude, the porcupine! On Thursday we have an all school assembly featuring musicians from the Reno Orchestra. Please remember that there will be NO SCHOOL NEXT WEEK as we are out for Ski/Skate week. School will resume on Monday, January 27th. Thank you!
