Thank you to Kat, Rebekka, Emily, and Jennifer for volunteering to drive/chaperone for our field trip to the Humane Society on December 4th! We appreciate you! :)
Food Drive
Creekside Charter is putting on a food drive for Project Mana this month. Project Mana's mission is to reduce the incidence of hunger and its detrimental effects upon individuals, families, the community and the region. We did a great job at raising over 300 pounds of food last year for families in need in our community! We are asking that the students bring in healthy, non-perishable food items in unbreakable containers (no glass please) over the next two weeks.

Writing Assignment
This week we are reading Turk and Runt, a story about 2 brothers who are turkeys on a farm at Thanksgiving time. Write your own story about a turkey escape! Remember to have a beginning, middle, and ending to your story. Please write at least 5 sentences and use your best handwriting on lined paper. Thank you.
iReady Practice
Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you!
In closing, please remember that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Just a refresher on our illness policy: If your child is sick, he or she must be fever free and free of vomiting for 24 hours before they may return to school. Thanks!
Have a great week!
