Just a reminder that all students should come to school prepared for the ever changing spring weather. Sending in a coat this week might be a good idea if we get the rain they are forecasting! If your student needs sunscreen, please apply that at home before coming to school. Also, please be sure to send in a water bottle with your student! Thank you!
Tomorrow is our field trip to the Humane Society in Truckee. We will load up in the cars at 9:30 and should be back on campus by 11:30 or so. Please remind your students to be on their best behavior for their drivers/chaperones and at the Humane Society. Thank you!
This Thursday is our field trip to the Andelin Family Farm in Sparks. All students MUST be at school on time as we need to load up the cars at 8:45 to make it to our appointment on time. We will return to campus about 1pm. All students MUST bring a water bottle (There are NO water fountains at the farm!), a sack lunch, and be appropriately dressed for the weather. (This is an outdoor trip and unfortunately, they are forecasting rain for Thursday.) Again, please remind your students to be on their best behavior for our drivers/chaperones and hosts at the farm. Thank you!

Writing Assignment
This week we are reading Koala Lou, a story about a young Koala who competes in the Bush Olympics to make her mother proud. Have you ever been in a competition? What was it? How did you prepare? Do you like competing? What do you think is the most important thing to remember when competing? Please write at least 7 sentences in your best handwriting. Thank you.
iReady Practice
Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you!
In closing, please remember that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Just a refresher on our illness policy: If your child is sick, he or she must be fever free and free of vomiting for 24 hours before they may return to school. Thanks!
Have a great week!
