Hello Creekside Families,
It looks like we are expecting more snowy weather yet again this week! Just a reminder that all students must come to school dressed to play in the snow with a snow jacket, snow pants, gloves, hat, and boots. We go outside in ALL weather conditions except for soaking rain. If it's super bright out, you may want to send your student in with sunglasses. Please be sure to send in a water bottle as well. Thank you! This week in ELA we are working on structure of a story, illustrations in a story, writing to inform, and comparative adjectives. In Math we are learning to recognize and draw shapes. In Science we are learning about the Solar System. In Social Studies we are learning about Capitols. In Health we are talking about chores. Our Rooted in Reading book is Me...Jane. We will be working on all sorts of reading, writing, grammar, and art activities around this book all week long. We continue to work on our Project Based Learning unit called Design a Lemonade Stand. Please write at least 6 sentences and use your best handwriting on lined paper. Students should be prepared to talk with the class about the person they research. Thank you. iReady Practice Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you! In closing, please remember that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Just a refresher on our illness policy: If your child is sick, he or she must be fever free and free of vomiting for 24 hours before they may return to school. Thanks! Have a great week!
