It looks like we are expecting more snowy weather this week! Just a reminder that all students must come to school dressed to play in the snow with a snow jacket, snow pants, gloves, hat, and boots. We go outside in ALL weather conditions except for soaking rain. Please be sure to send in a water bottle as well. Thank you!
This week in ELA we are working on writing informational paragraphs, collective nouns, setting, characters, and character traits. In Math we are working with money and word problems with money. In Science we are learning about the moon and stars. In Social Studies we are learning about the U.S. government. In Health we are learning about changes. Our Rooted in Reading book is That's What Leprechauns Do. We will be working on all sorts of reading, writing, grammar, and art activities around this book all week long. We continue to work on our Project Based Learning unit called Design a Lemonade Stand.

Writing Assignment
Imagine that one day you sat down to lunch like usual and found yourself across the table from a leprechaun! What does the tiny, green man tell you about his life, Ireland, and all his gold? Your story should have a beginning, middle, and an end. Write at least 6 sentences and use your best handwriting on lined paper. Thank you.
iReady Practice
Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you!
In closing, please remember that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Just a refresher on our illness policy: If your child is sick, he or she must be fever free and free of vomiting for 24 hours before they may return to school. Thanks!
Have a great week!
