Writing Prompt
The theme of Unit 4 is “How do things change? How do they stay the same?”. The question of the week is “Why are some changes difficult?”. I Like Where I Am is a story about how a boy’s life changes when he moves to a new neighborhood. Please help your child think about a change that has happened in their life and then have them write a poem about that change. Please have your child write 4-6 sentences and use their best handwriting on lined paper. Thank you.
CCSS Writing 4- With guidance and support from adults, produce writing in which the development and organization are appropriate to task and purpose.
In closing, I'd also like to remind you that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Thanks so much!
Have a great week!
