Writing Prompt
This week we are reading a funny story called The Signmaker’s Assistant. Think about funny stories you have read or heard. Now write a story that will make people laugh. Please make sure that your story is appropriate for school and that you use your best handwriting and spelling on lined paper.
CCCSS Writing 3- Write narratives in which they recount a well-elaborated event or short sequence of events, include details to describe actions, thoughts, and feelings, use temporal words to signal event order, and provide a sense of closure.
*Please keep your student at home if they are not feeling well. We are being extra careful at school about keeping our desks clean and washing our hands often. Hopefully we can all stay as healthy as possible throughout this upcoming flu season.
I'd also like to remind you that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. Thank you all for your cooperation in these matters.
Have a great week!
Miss Jenny
