Writing Prompt
The theme of Unit is “What does it mean to be responsible?”.
The question of the week is “How can we be responsible when we make a mistake?”. The SIgnmaker’s Assistant is a funny story. Please help your child think about funny stories they have heard or read. Now have them write a story that will make people laugh. Please have your child write 6-8 sentences and use their best handwriting on lined paper. Thank you.
CCSS Writing 3- Write narrative in which they recount a well-elaborated event or short sequence of events, include details to describe actions, thoughts, and feelings, use temporal words to signal event order, and provide a sense of closure.
In closing, I'd also like to remind you that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Thanks so much!
Have a great week!
