I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful spring break! The kids were all so happy to see one another again today, it was really sweet. Please be sure to read the Creekside Chat every week to stay up to date on the Souper Bowl and other school news. Also, please be sure to send a water bottle to school every day with your child. At least 10 students didn't have a water bottle with them today! Thanks!
Donations needed! Our classroom could use kleenex, pencils, and wipes. Please send some in with your child if you have any to spare. Thank you!

Writing Prompt
The theme of Unit is “What does it mean to be responsible?”. The question of the week is “How can we be responsible friends and neighbors?”. The animal characters in Horace and Morris but mostly Dolores are really good friends. Please help your child think about other animal characters they would like to write about. Now write have them write a fantasy about an adventure these friends have together. Their story should have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Please have your child write 6-8 sentences and use their best handwriting on lined paper. Thank you.
CCSS Writing 3- Write narrative in which they recount a well-elaborated event or short sequence of events, include details to describe actions, thoughts, and feelings, use temporal words to signal event order, and provide a sense of closure.
In closing, I'd also like to remind you that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Thanks so much!
Have a great week!
Miss Jenny
