Writing/Science
This week students should brainstorm an idea for an invention of their own that they will make at home and present to the class. The presentation may be in the form of a model, poster board, color drawing, etc... The invention should be something to improve the lives of others or the world. It can be something to help the environment, a medical device, a special machine, etc... It should NOT be a candy machine, video game, or something solely for entertainment. They should be prepared to tell the what the invention would be made of, how their invention would work, what it should do, and why they were inspired to invent it. The projects will be presented in class and put on display for Open House later this Spring.
iReady Practice
Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you!
In closing, I'd also like to remind you that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Thanks so much!
Have a great week! Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes and gifts!
