Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful winter break! It was so great to see all of the kids again today and to see how happy they all were to be back together again. What a terrific group of kids! :)
Please be sure that your child comes to school dressed to play in the snow, we go outside in ALL weather except for heavy rain. Kids should have boots, snow pants, a coat or jacket, a hat, and gloves. Sunglasses can also be a good idea if the sun is out. Students are welcome to bring in a pair of slippers to keep in their cubbies to wear while in the classroom. Also, please continue to send in a water bottle. Thank you!
This week in ELA we are working on point of view, and singular and plural nouns. In Math we are learning about measurement. In Science we are learning about rocks and minerals. In Social Studies we are learning about people who have made a difference in our country. In Health we are learning about danger zones. Our SEL activities include working on "I can statements", "win-win", and "win-lose"cards to help us express our feelings to our peers in a time of conflict and daily check ins. We are also working on our Design a Ski Resort projects.

iReady Practice
Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you!
In closing, please remember that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Just a refresher on our illness policy: If your child is sick, he or she must be fever free and free of vomiting for 24 hours before they may return to school. Thanks!
Have a great week!
