The snow is here at last! Please be sure that your child comes to school dressed to play in the snow, we go outside in ALL weather except for heavy rain. Kids should have boots, snow pants, a coat or jacket, a hat, and gloves. Sunglasses can also be a good idea if the sun is out. Students are welcome to bring in a pair of slippers to keep in their cubbies to wear while in the classroom. Also, please continue to send in a water bottle. Thank you!
This week in ELA we are working on sound and meaning in stories, time order, and friendly letters. In Math we are working on subtracting 3-digit numbers. In Science we are learning about the parts of Earth. In Social Studies we are learning about California regions. In Health we are working on problem solving . Our SEL activities include working on "I can statements", "win-win", and "win-lose"cards to help us express our feelings to our peers in a time of conflict and daily check ins. We have also begun a unit on The Nutcracker. The kids are loving it!

iReady Practice
Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you!
In closing, please remember that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Just a refresher on our illness policy: If your child is sick, he or she must be fever free and free of vomiting for 24 hours before they may return to school. Thanks!
Have a great week!
