Writing Prompt
This week we are beginning our writing unit on Opinion Writing. Opinion Writing is when writers tell their feelings about a topic and give reasons to support their opinion. Opinion Writing has a beginning that introduces the topic and opinion, a middle that gives reasons, and an end that makes the opinion clear. Please have you child write an opinion paragraph about what they think is the best kind of pet to have and why. It should be at least 5 sentences in their best handwriting on lined paper. Thank you!
iReady Practice
Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you!
In closing, I'd also like to remind you that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Thanks so much!
Have a great week!
Miss Jenny
