In Math we are learning to read, write, and work with 3-digit numbers. In Science we are learning about plants. In Social Studies we are learning map skills. In Health we are learning about pollution. Our Rooted in Reading book this week is Rough Face Girl. This is an Algonquin Indian folktale similar to Cinderella. Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you!
In closing, I'd also like to remind you that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Your student is welcome to bring slippers to keep in their cubby for when they come in from recess with damp shoes. Please be sure that your child brings a coat or jacket every day now that Fall is here. We go outside for every recess unless there is heavy rain. Just a refresher on our illness policy: If your child is sick, he or she must be fever free and free of vomiting for 24 hours before they may return to school. Thanks so much!
Have a great week!
Jenny
