Field trip permission slips went home today with the weekly IS. Please sign and return them with the $ ASAP. If you are able to join us to drive/chaperone on 2/6, please email me and let me know. Thank you!
Please be sure that your child comes to school dressed to play in the snow, we go outside in ALL weather except for heavy rain. Kids should have boots, snow pants, a coat or jacket, a hat, and gloves. Sunglasses can also be a good idea if the sun is out. Students are welcome to bring in a pair of slippers to keep in their cubbies to wear while in the classroom. Also, please continue to send in a water bottle. Thank you!
This week in ELA we are working on how to identify the lesson or moral of a story and learning about pronouns. In Math we are learning about using different units of measurement. In Science, we are learning about soil. In Social Studies we are learning about American cultures. In Health we are learning more about accident prevention. We are also working on our Design a Ski Resort projects and Science journals. Our SEL activities include Life Ingredients, daily class check ins led by a different student each day, and win/lose vs. win/win scenarios.

Writing Assignment
While playing outside you found a wallet with $5,000 inside. What do you do next? Be sure your story has a beginning, middle, and an end. Please write at least 6 sentences and use your best handwriting on lined paper. Thank you.
iReady Practice
Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you!
In closing, please remember that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Just a refresher on our illness policy: If your child is sick, he or she must be fever free and free of vomiting for 24 hours before they may return to school. Thanks!
Have a great week!
