Welcome back to school! It's so lovely to see how happy all of the kids are to see each other again after the break! We really do become a classroom family. :) I hope you all had a wonderful break, mine was great and restful which was just what I needed.
This week in ELA we are learning about points of view in a text, comparing stories, and plural nouns. In Math we are learning how to measure length using both inches and centimeters. In Science we are learning about rocks and minerals. In Social Studies we are learning about America. In Health we are learning about danger zones. Our Rooted in Reading book this week is Snow Day! by Lester Laminak. We will be working on all sorts of reading, writing, grammar, and art activities around this book all week long. We are still working on our 2nd Project Based Learning Activity entitled Design a Ski Resort!

iReady Practice
Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you!
In closing, please remember that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Just a refresher on our illness policy: If your child is sick, he or she must be fever free and free of vomiting for 24 hours before they may return to school. Thanks!
Have a great week!
