Thank you to all who made it to the LP meeting this morning! If you were unable to attend, please email me a time when you can come by and sign the paperwork. Thanks!
Next week, Wednesday, May 25th is our field trip to see Bye, Bye Birdie in Truckee. Please be sure to send in your signed permission slips ASAP. We will leave campus shortly after 8:30, so please be sure to have your child to school by 8:30 on that day. We will return to campus about 11am. Thank you to our drivers/chaperones: Renee Koijane, Lisa Buckton, Nicolle Sloane, Alicia Doherty, and Alissa Morganti. You are wonderful! :)
This week in ELA we are reading and writing narratives and realistic fiction, reviewing capital letters and contractions, working on phonics and studying our poem of the week. In Math we are reviewing subtraction with regrouping (borrowing/carrying) and word problems. In Science we are learning about Motion. In Social Studies we are continuing to work on our Town Builder project.

Writing Prompt
Just Like Josh Gibson tells the story of a young girl who admires famous baseball player Josh Gibson. Think about one of your sport heroes. Now write a story about a character who wants to be like that sports figure. Please write 6-8 sentences with your best handwriting on lined paper. Thank you!
iReady Practice
Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you!
In closing, I'd also like to remind you that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Thanks so much!
Have a great week!
Miss Jenny
