Thank you all for the lovely gifts this morning for teacher appreciation week! I am a lucky teacher to get to spend the day with your kids AND be spoiled so nicely by all of you. Thank you! Just a reminder that all students should come to school prepared for the ever changing spring weather. If your student needs sunscreen, please apply that at home before coming to school. Thank you!
Please be sure to send in the 2 field trip permission slips that went home last week. They should be filled out and returned with the $ ASAP. Also, we will need drivers/chaperones in order to make these trips happen. Please email me if you can help us out. Thanks! :)
This week in ELA we working on text features, non-fiction reading, and writing informational text. In Math we are working on reviewing 3-digit subtraction with regrouping. Writing Assignment
This week we are reading Sharks! as well as a few other non-fiction books about sharks. Please research a shark of your choice and tell me all about it. Be sure to include the name, size, habitat, and other interesting facts about the shark you chose. A picture or a photo of your shark would be a great addition to your paragraph. Please write at least 6 sentences and use your best handwriting on lined paper. Be prepared to share your knowledge about your shark with the class! Thank you.
iReady Practice
Please login to i Ready. You should see a red button labeled, “start my lessons”. Please complete one Math and one Language Arts lesson. Thank you!
In closing, please remember that students should be appropriately dressed for the weather and that ALL students need to have a water bottle to keep at school as we do not have cups to offer them should they be thirsty. If your child needs sunscreen, please apply it before they come to school. Just a refresher on our illness policy: If your child is sick, he or she must be fever free and free of vomiting for 24 hours before they may return to school. Thanks!
Have a great week!
